English Translation:
Do not burn your own finger to brand a hole in your own cheek. (Self-inflicted spite; never incur personal harm and pain merely to enact a petty, self-destructive point.)

English Translation:
Craving to leap across the ocean, but lacking legs even to jump a roadside ditch. (Harboring grand ambitions that are laughably detached from one’s puny abilities.)

English Translation:
The blatant folly of the ignorant. (Senseless blunders are the inevitable product of ignorance.)
