“ ചെമ്പെന്നും ചൊല്ലി വെളിക്കൊ മണ്ണുകയറ്റിയതു”
English Translation:
Was it common dirt that was loaded onto the vessel under the pretext of being copper? (Slapping a precious label onto valueless filth does not make it worth the freight.)

“ കൊടാത്തവനോടു വീടാതിരിക്ക”
English Translation:
Never leave accounts unsettled with one who shares nothing. (Keep transactions strictly closed and clear with a miserly person so you owe them no obligation or pretext for complaint.)

“ അവന്റെ വാക്കു പുല്ലെണ്ണപോലെ”
English Translation:
His word is like volatile grass oil. (Slick, unreliable promises that evaporate into thin air.)
